At Composting New Zealand, we love what we do, and what we do really well is make compost!
Our story began in 1996 where, as a small family run Kapiti business excited about sustainability, we set ourselves the challenge of producing market leading composts from environmentally friendly recycled greenwaste.
Our family is now an extended one, comprising composting technicians, greenwaste aficionados, reliable delivery professionals and retail superstars amongst a team of unsung heroes committed to customer satisfaction and the production of great composting products.
We’re loyal to our family values, treating our customers as another branch of our extended family and ensuring satisfaction and loyalty through a combination of ethical practice and the production of consistently top-notch composts and mulches.
In 2003, we were immensely proud to attain BioGro certification for our core products.
Expansion to Hutt Valley
In 2013, we decided to spread our wings and opened a second retail yard based in Upper Hutt, staffed once more by a warm and welcoming team of greenwaste and landscaping professionals, willing to go the extra mile for our customers.
When it comes to soils, mulches and landscaping products, we’ve been the go-to guys for businesses across the lower North Island for nearly two decades.
We’re as excited today as ever to serve our customer’s needs and continue to excel in the production of composts, mulches, soils and landscaping products.
It’s what we know and what we love.
Wairarapa Branch – Wairarapa Landscape & Garden Supplies
In 2018 we were delighted to open a third branch near Masterton, serving customers throughout Wairarapa with our signature compost and a range of mulches, aggregates and growing mediums.
Taking over this existing business, we continue to trade as Wairarapa Landscape & Garden Supplies in the region, and have considerably expanded our product range available from this branch.
Note: we do not accept green-waste at our Wairarapa location.
Commitment to quality and integrity
At Composting New Zealand, we implement voluntary quality control processing and are fully compliant with recommended guidelines.
We hold a valid Bio-Gro New Zealand organic certification, and are committed to maintaining the integrity of our quality composts and mulches.
