Our Base Course is a 40mm crushed aggregate, commonly known as AP40. It is designed for use as a bottom layer under roads, driveways, pathways, building sites, and other construction areas where a strong, stable foundation is required.
Base Course is an important part of construction preparation, helping to create a solid base before adding finishing layers such as lime chip, decorative stone, asphalt, or other surface products. It compacts well to form a firm, even surface, making it a practical choice for both residential and commercial projects.
Please note: Our aggregates and decorative stones are sourced from multiple suppliers, so colour, texture, and appearance may vary. We recommend visiting us in branch to check that the product meets your specific needs before placing an online or telephone order.

Please note, our Wellington store is delivery only and does not have a physical yard for customer collection. Alternatively, customers are welcome to purchase and collect products directly from our Kāpiti or Masterton yards.
